  • Wizard Metal Polish

Anyone ever try Wizards Metal Polish or Metal Renew? If so, what was your experience? Almost time for the winter thaw, gotta get the scoot cleaned up and ready. 60 degrees will be here soon.

Mothers billet works better... Use cotton cloths not microfiber. After the mother's use master formula metal gloss. I swear it works.. Ask anyone who has seen my dogs... But I have special ways to polish...

I've used Mothers Alum Polish, Mothers Billet & Wizards, for more years than I can even remember, at least 30 years or more. They are all very good polishes.
But once I "tried" Adams Polish,... I let the old shit dry up! Adams is that much better, and has a great finish!
It's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. But it's that much better, IMO.
I wouldn't NEVER even think about switching back after seeing the results I can get from Adams.

I concur with Adams. After using several other polishes, to me nothing compairs to Adams...

I have not tried the Adams yet but believe I have a can / bottle of every other polish known to man, with that said the Wizards that is packaged in the band aid size can is the best I have ever used with the Lowes truck-box coming in a close second

I think all polishes work, some better than others, some easier than others. And there's no disputing the fact that Eric's bikes do look awesome with Mother's! But I have also switched to Adam's. I personally get better results, with less effort from Adam's.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

I used Adams last year but was not overly impressed. Probably user error.

OUTCAST - do tell on this "special" ways to polish.

You see, E's very used to this back and forth motion with his wrists , he spends hours and hours doing this , so with all the practice, E really knows how to polish one out!!!

All seriousness, Eric's bikes are the cleanest I've ever seen....period!

Thought I replied last night. Seem a lot of folks like Adams, which is what I used last year. To be honest I was not too impressed. Maybe my expectations are not realistic.
I think I will give Wizard a whirl and see what happens.

Which Adam's polish were you using? It's a 2-step process - Adam's Metal Polish #1(blue) and then Adam's Metal Polish #2(pink). Once you have used #1 and #2, and have it polished to your liking, and assuming you keep the bike clean after that, then you only have to use #2 going forward.

If you let the bike get dirty, and let the aluminum dull, then you need to start over again with #1.

i did use the two step process the first time. Just seemed like twice the work for the same results.

Hmmmm OK... Use a latex glove...I know it sounds stupid... Use no rag @ this point.. Apply the mothers billet Polish.. Small amounts a lil dab will do ya.. Rub in circular motions don't let the Polish dry.. It will turn black once this happens use 100% cotton cloth to wipe off the Polish.. Do this over & over..until desired shine.. Remember Polish with the glove no rag.. & no microfiber cloth.. Do small sections... Once all surfaces are to your liking...do it with the master metal gloss... But I apply the metal gloss with a clean cotton clot . Remove with a different clean cotton cloth... It really works... After all is done use quick detailer & more clean cotton cloths... Apply your choice of wax... This will take some time...depends on how shiney you want it... This is only for the polllished aluminum... It won't do a thing for chrome... If it don't turn black when polishing its chrome...only use the metal gloss on chrome.. Change latex gloves as needed... Take your time... It really works...
